There’s a great exhibition at the Victoria & Albert Museum called “Diaghilev and the Ballets Russes.” Apparently, this fellow Diaghilev was quite a character (Matisse described him as a snake) and was responsible for bringing together people like Picasso, Stravinsky and Chanel to work on his ballets. For me, this is a fascinating period of cultural history, so I’m very excited to see V&A’s blog on the exhibition and extensive photographs on their web site since I can’t make it to London between now and January 9th, 2011.
